Kentucky Marine Recruiter Honored by Louisville Armed Forces Committee with 2012 "Patriot Award"

LAFC "Patriot Award" 2012

Louisville, Kentucky; May 18, 2012:  Staff Sergeant Keith M. Strand, Jr., USMC, Staff Noncommissioned Officer in Charge, Marine Corps Recruiting Station Louisville, Clarksville Substation, Clarksville, Indiana, was honored with the Louisville Armed Forces Committee (LAFC) "Patriot Award" during its annual Armed Forces Day dinner at the Crowne Plaza Airport Hotel. Staff Sergeant Strand was publicly recognized for his outstanding performance of duty, dedication, professionalism and patriotism, and was congratulated by LtGen Harry M. Wyatt III, USAF, Director, Air National Guard and Mr. Houston Mills, Jr., President. Marine Corps Coordinating Council of Kentucky (MCCCK). Staff Sergeant Strand accepted this award before fellow Marines from Marine Corps Recruiting Station Louisville and Marine Corps Reserve Military Police Company A, Lexington, Kentucky, latter of which provided the color guard for this traditional formal military dinner dating back to 1919. The MCCCK salutes and congratulates Staff Sergeant Strand on this prestigious award.
